The Dark Side of Technology
The Dark Side of Technology
The term "hacker" has an overwhelmingly negative meaning nowadays, bringing up pictures of cybercriminals out to steal identities and unleash destructive infections. That was only sometimes the case. In actuality, society's initial perception of computer hackers was that they were technology aficionados who merely wanted to tweak, customize, and improve things. It wasn't until decades later, with the emergence of viruses and cybercrime, that traditional hackers were grouped in with those who hacked with harmful purposes, and the public demonization of hacking started.
Technology users should be cautious nowadays, they should be aware of the dark side of it. I've always been paying attention in my daily life using technology, I stopped clicking suspected URLs and make my work as confidential as possible. I have been hacked multiple times out of nowhere, they tried to use my credit card and they took control of my computer. I had to reset everything. Since then, I stopped using unknown websites to shop. I've been so paranoid and careful to not make that happen again. However, to avoid being hijacked make sure to avoid questionable Websites and don't open messages from unknown senders. Also, ensure you have the best security software products installed on your PC.
Hackers have the ability to take over vehicles or bring down an electric grid. Personal data is stolen by cybercriminals, who then use it to empty bank accounts or make unauthorized online credit card payments. Even while email, mobile devices, and social media have revolutionized communication, office workers who are engrossed in their Twitter feed or are dependent on instant messaging suffer in terms of productivity. So please try to be careful while using any kind of technology and protect yourself as much as u can.
